A fastener which is very secure even in the presence of dirt. Useful range of tensile and shear load up to 2000 N.
Only 2 components require to be mounted:
The fastener upper part, pre-assembled and adapted to the required grip thickness, is put into a hole in the panel and secured against loss by means of a retaining washer.
The receptacle is riveted or screwed to the frame under the through-hole.
Alternative:
Receptacle as blind rivet nut (patent)
Function
To close, the fastener turned to the right 90° with slight axial pressure. This causes the cross pin to ride up over the cam formed in the receptacle, engages in a notch formed in it, and ensures a firm joint.
Opening is accomplished by a 90° turn to left, disengaging the cross pin via the cam from the receptacle aided by the force of the expanding spring and causing the fastener head to protrude visibly.
