orange square Rotation-spin welding (RRS)

RRS (rotational friction welding) is used to connect thermoplastic parts with rotosymmetrical joining zone. The joint effect of the bonding force and rotation produces friction heat at the mating surfaces, thus causing both parts to plasticize and enter into a positive connection.

Suitable Böllhoff threaded inserts: plastic in plastic type 163.
