| compact, economical, safe and flexible Bielefeld. With the RIVSET ® programme the Böllhoff system technology (Bielefeld) offers an extensive range of rivet systems. The punching rivet system has especially turned out to be extremely useful in the automobile and electro-industry for high-strength connections, which are impervious to fluids, and are made of multilayer materials. With a new compact and reasonably priced processing system for loose punching rivets Böllhoff is now drawing a wider circle of users for this technology. As one of the first companies in the industry Böllhoff developed a processing procedure for punching rivet with the new system, in which the connector elements no longer have to be put into magazines on plastic bands, but loose punching rivets are used. The advantages here: The use of bulk material brings considerable price benefits, moreover the handling is much simpler, because the work for replacing the belt magazines is no longer necessary. The less space needed for loose punching rivets ensures more efficiency in logistics and the no longer necessary recycling of empty belts. The system has been designed highly flexible by Böllhoff and is also suitable for the process-safe feeding of the smallest rivet geometries (3x4, 3x5). The cycle time of the riveting is two to 3.5 seconds. The compact device uses very little energy: with 1.5 kW motor capacity the hydraulic unit only needs six litres of oil for the riveting process. Feed-in module, drive panel and hydraulic unit are combined under the compact sheet-metal case. The system is mounted on four wheels and thus can be used at many different locations in production. With the compact economic RIVSET ® punching rivet system Böllhoff now also makes this technology available to small and medium-sized enterprises. Compressed air and power connection are sufficient in order to create high-strength connections quietly, clean and with low costs for energy and parts. Responsible: Dipl.-Ing.
